On special occasions, we might also request data directly from the end users to analyze and solve technical issues. 


How Kindiedays Mobile Service meets GDPR requirements


Our customer, the childcare center, is the Data Controller for the Kindiedays Mobile Service. The Data Controller is the entity that determines the purposes, conditions, and means of the processing of Personal Data, and we are the Data Processor, the entity that processes data on behalf of the Data Controller. 


The use of the Mobile Service is based on Personal Data that can be used to identify you and/or the children in your custody. Personal Data may include but is not limited to, your name, email address, and phone number as well as information that you provide about your children.


We collect Personal Data on behalf of the childcare center, the Data Controller, for delivery of the service they have subscribed to. The Data Controller has the ultimate responsibility for handling Personal Data and we advise you to review the privacy policy of your own childcare center. By GDPR, it is the child care center's obligation to receive your consent for handling the data.

How Kindiedays Mobile Service meets GDPR requirements



Technical architecture


Kindiedays is a secure and closed environment operated currently on the Amazon AWS platform in Ireland. Personal data is stored in a MySQL database on the AWS platform. AWS having its headquarters in the USA, is registered under the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) agreed between the EU and the US. 


All communication between the user devices/apps and the backend is protected with SSL certificates. We also use a few external GDPR-compliant technologies to enhance Kindiedays functionality and usability:


  • Kindiedays uses Firebase/Messaging for sending push alerts to the Apps to improve the user experience.
  • Kindiedays uses Cloudinary media optimizer SaaS service to make pictures load faster.


When necessary, Kindiedays development organization uses additional technical tools for monitoring and resolving purely technical issues. These technologies handle only anonymous or purely technical data.


Security of Personal Information


The security of your Personal Data is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Data we have collected from you.


Log Data

The Personal Data we collect and use is mainly provided by the person herself. Another important source is the data created and generated during the use of our digital Service.


On special occasions, we might also request data directly from the end users to analyze and solve technical issues. 


How Kindiedays Mobile Service meets GDPR requirements


Our customer, the childcare center, is the Data Controller for the Kindiedays Mobile Service. The Data Controller is the entity that determines the purposes, conditions, and means of the processing of Personal Data, and we are the Data Processor, the entity that processes data on behalf of the Data Controller. 


The use of the Mobile Service is based on Personal Data that can be used to identify you and/or the children in your custody. Personal Data may include but is not limited to, your name, email address, and phone number as well as information that you provide about your children.


We collect Personal Data on behalf of the childcare center, the Data Controller, for delivery of the service they have subscribed to. The Data Controller has the ultimate responsibility for handling Personal Data and we advise you to review the privacy policy of your own childcare center. By GDPR, it is the child care center's obligation to receive your consent for handling the data.

Technical architecture


Kindiedays is a secure and closed environment operated currently on the Amazon AWS platform in Ireland. Personal data is stored in a MySQL database on the AWS platform. AWS having its headquarters in the USA, is registered under the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) agreed between the EU and the US. 


All communication between the user devices/apps and the backend is protected with SSL certificates. We also use a few external GDPR-compliant technologies to enhance Kindiedays functionality and usability:


  • Kindiedays uses Firebase/Messaging for sending push alerts to the Apps to improve the user experience.
  • Kindiedays uses Cloudinary media optimizer SaaS service to make pictures load faster.


When necessary, Kindiedays development organization uses additional technical tools for monitoring and resolving purely technical issues. These technologies handle only anonymous or purely technical data.


Security of Personal Information


The security of your Personal Data is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store, to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Data we have collected from you.


Log Data


We may also collect information that your browser, device, and applications send whenever you visit our Service through a computer or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device (“Log Data”). 


This Log Data may include information such as your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages and other statistics.


When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Log Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device's unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser and applications you use and other statistics.


Cookies


Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and transferred to your device. We use “cookies” to collect information on the Kindiedays web apps. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service and we recommend that you leave them turned on.

 

Children’s Privacy


We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (“Children”). All information about the children in your custody is provided by you or the childcare center. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children have provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.


Service Providers


We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Web site or Mobile Service, to provide the Web Site or Mobile Service on our behalf, to perform Web site or Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Web Site or Service is used.


In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor, and analyze this type of information in order to increase our service’s functionality. These third-party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.


These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.


Compliance with Laws


We will disclose your Personal Data where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.


Any dispute concerning the conclusion, interpretation, or performance of our service shall be governed by Finnish law and shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Helsinki, Finland.


International Transfer of Personal Information


Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.


We transfer the information, including Personal Data, to servers in the EU for Kindiedays Web site as well as Ireland for Kindiedays cloud services and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy and your submission of Personal Data represents your agreement to that transfer.

Our Web site and Service may contain links to other websites or online locations that are not operated or controlled by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third-party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every online site or location you visit. Business Transaction


If Century Moose Oy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. 


Changes to This Privacy Policy


We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Kindiedays website. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on the Kindiedays Web site. Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide by and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
