The Personal Data we store and process is provided by the preschool managers, teachers, and parents. Another important source is the data created and generated during the use of our digital Service.


We may also request data directly from end users on special occasions to analyze and resolve technical issues. 


How Kindiedays Mobile Service meets GDPR requirements


Our customer, the childcare center, is the Data Controller for the Kindiedays Mobile Service. The Data Controller is the entity that determines the purposes, conditions, and means of the processing of Personal Data, and we are the Data Processor, the entity that processes data on behalf of the Data Controller. 


The use of the Mobile Service is based on Personal Data that can be used to identify you and/or the children in your custody. Personal Data may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, and phone number, as well as information that you provide about your children.


We store Personal Data on behalf of the childcare center, the Data Controller, to deliver the service they have subscribed to. The Data Controller is responsible for handling Personal Data, and we advise you to review the privacy policy of your childcare center. According to the GDPR, the childcare center must obtain the parents' consent to handle the data about their children.

Technical architecture


Kindiedays is a secure and closed environment currently operated on the Amazon AWS platform in Ireland. Personal data is stored in a MySQL database on the AWS platform. AWS has its headquarters in the United States and is registered under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), an agreement between the European Union and the United States. 


All communication between the user devices/apps and the backend is protected with SSL certificates. We also use a few external GDPR-compliant technologies to enhance Kindiedays functionality and usability:


  • Kindiedays utilizes Firebase/Messaging to send push notifications to the app, enhancing the user experience. 


Our development organization utilizes additional technical tools to monitor and resolve purely technical issues as necessary. These technologies handle only anonymous or purely technical data.



Security of Personal Information


The security of your Personal Data is important to us, and we strive to implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information we store to protect it from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Data we have collected from you.
