Kindiedays had the opportunity to discuss with Federico Visconti, Founder of be.school network of nurseries and kindergartens in Italy about their goals for supporting the children, developing their business and their practical experiences.

Tell us about be.school 


be.school is a Nursery, Kindergarten, and Primary school that provides an educational program in Italian and English language. The teaching approach is inspired by the Finnish’s excellent methods of academic programs.


be.school offers its caring services since 2011, with a multi-cultural team that ensures that everyday kids feel happy, safe, and foremost, included.


What are the cornerstones of your educational approach?

 ​


We started with the holistic approach way before discovering and getting interested in the Finnish approach; we were ready to embrace the change as we already took care of the children’s needs at 360° degrees.


Then we focus on their language development, as we created a unique Curriculum that combines Italian and English languages by introducing L2 at the very first stage of the children’s development; our teachers are either Italian speakers or English speakers so that the children don’t get confused by which language they should use (OPOL system - one person, one language).


Lately, we’ve been working towards upgrading our offer by introducing important concepts, such as emotional education and outdoor education. We strive to get the best tutoring and our teachers are constantly learning from the experts, to deliver their best.


What are your goals for supporting the children?

 ​


The goals for supporting children at be.school focus on promoting their serene development and enhancing competencies for comprehensive and harmonious personal growth. The curriculum is tailored to meet the unique needs of every child, emphasizing the importance of identifying educational needs and customizing educational pathways.


What triggered you to look for a new mobile/digital solution?


The options on the Italian market did not meet our needs. There are digital solutions that focus only on the daily routines, which are ok for small nurseries, but not for schools that have significant growth and want to focus on the educational part also.


We were looking for something that had both: a report of what we do daily and WHY we do it. This is such an implementation that has major effects on the educational needs of the kids.


How did you start using Kindiedays?


We ran a trial period on a small group of families, who tested the app for a month, before implementing the app on the whole school.


What has turned out to be most valuable for you?


Implementing the curriculum guidelines into daily activities has given the opportunity to create monthly reports; these reports show how areas are developed, and how much time is dedicated to them so that teachers can ease their planning time according to what is needed most.
