How Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery in UAE is using Kindiedays

Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery is located in Dubai in two locations: Al Safa and Umm Suqueim. We accept registration for children between 12 months to 4 years.
We have added our own Green Engagement Programme
curriculum to Kindiedays.

Support children's learning
We believe that children can make a positive impact on Planet Earth through their actions and attitude. Using the British Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) as our framework, we have developed a unique holistic and engaging approach called The Green Engagement Programme, which focuses on generating in children a respect and awareness for themselves, others and the world around them. Kindiedays offers the EYFS Curriculum for us and in addition to that, we have added our own Green Engagement Programme curriculum to Kindiedays, so that it is easy to follow both curriculums via the application. When documenting a child’s learning, we can connect the learning observations either to one curriculum or both. If a child is for example gardening in our organic path, learning observations connected to EYFS could be “Handles tools and objects safely and with increasing control” and “Shows care and concern for living things and the environment”. When we mark these findings and post a new Learning Post, the child’s parents can instantly see a photo of their child and the things she has been learning during the day.
Engage families
At Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery we understand the importance of parents being fully involved in their children’s daily activities, progress and development in their nursery environment. We believe parents have the right to be included in their children’s pre-school experiences and that through working closely with parents, we can better identify the needs of each child. Families are central to a child’s well-being and we support this. Sharing information and communication is wonderful via Kindiedays application. All the information that is visible to the nursery, is also visible to the parents. We love that aspect and we believe it is the only right way of working together for the best of the children.
Our aim at Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery is to create a lively, stimulating and fun environment where children enjoy every aspect of their nursery experience. For us, it is also vital to create shared memories that will last a lifetime. Kindiedays stores the important documentations, memories and photos of happy experiences safely in one location. Most importantly, sharing these memories to families is effortless.
Children are citizens of the world
We endorse the idea that we are citizens of the world. Being fortunate enough to live in a city exploding with multicultural diversity, We encourage children to learn about different cultures by celebrating global days and sharing different traditions from around the globe. We celebrate for example Family Day, Islamic New Year and Eid Al-Fitr. It is convenient to inform the families about up-coming events via Kindiedays application’s events calendar. As soon as we have decided the dates for our yearly celebrations, we add them into Kindiedays calendar for families to see, so that they can plan in advance. It is nice for us to see beforehand how many children or families will take part in each celebration.
At Home Grown Children’s Eco Nursery, health and safety is paramount, whether for children, parents or staff. We work hard to minimize hazards and enable children to thrive in the right environment. For added safety, we use Kindiedays Application to monitor the attendance, location and absence of children. Kindiedays stores important information such as photo of each child, list of allergies and contact details of parents. The information is secure and easy for the nursery staff to access if needed.
Nature and green thinking in the core
Our space provides children with a perfect platform to experience and develop their senses in a natural setting. Children are taught to embrace the simple joys of life such as nature walks in our garden, playing in the sand area, gardening in our organic patch or sitting in our outdoor quiet corners observing their surroundings. As children play in various locations, it is simple to monitor them via Kindiedays. We can mark that for example 15 children are playing in the sand area, 10 are gardening and the rest are inside the nursery.
Being a green thinking children’s nursery, we follow ecological values and routines. For example, communication is encouraged via email or website to save paper. We also use innovative teaching tools such as Kindiedays for the same reasons - to save paper and other materials. Kindiedays gives us eco-friendly and sustainable way of communication, documentation, registration and data protection. We believe that when we take green thinking, ecological aspects and sustainable development into account every step of the way, it passes to the children and future generations also.
